“OK, this is quite cool. These have been sold out globally for well over a decade, but when I moved my studio from one place to another, I found a box of original 2005 “BE” Limited DVD box sets in a bag that I’d forgotten behind an acoustic wall panel.” /Daniel

Description

DVD + CD + 48 page booklet with tons of imagery and information.

In 2003, Pain of Salvation went out on their weirdest tour ever. They played five days a week, double features on weekends, with a nine piece orchestra. Every show was played in their home town, and people came from all corners of the world to see it. The stage was built in layers and was deeper than it was wide, and it featured (apart from the usual what-have-yous) one grand piano, one harpsichord, one hanging bass drum, three kits of percussion and… one pool. The entire work was written as score music in detail by Daniel Gildenlöw for this very specific instrumentation, and included a large number of voice messages to God collected from the whole world on an answering machine. From the hundreds and hundreds of recorded messages, some handfuls were selected and can be heard on the touching track Vocari Dei.

For everyone who didn’t attend those unique and odd shows back in 2003, this is the DVD that captures the events! And it’s packed with loads of extra material and hidden menus, taking the DVD format to its limits. Region code 0 (all regions).
